The Service Center Business Analyst II identifies and specifies complex business requirements and processes. Consults with technical staff to ensure programming is in line with specifications and business requirements. Works with both groups to manage projects ensuring all deadlines are met. Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.



  • Formulates logical statements of business requirements. Will be responsible for thoroughly and effectively communicating these requirements to technical staff. Responsible for providing detailed specifications for user evaluation and approval.
  • Researches reported user related issues and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solution for system design considering existing systems, available technology, the capacity and limitations of equipment, operating time and form of the desired results.
  • Creates models of systems for evaluating the design and explaining the desired results.
  • Prepares charts, tables and other diagrams (besides models) to assist in analyzing problems, utilizing various businesses, scientific and engineering/mathematical techniques.
  • Consults with technical team to develop systems that are flexible and do not require hard coding of programs.
  • Develops tests scripts for testing programmed components using both manual and automated test scripts.
  • Manages testing life cycle, analyzes test results and communicates to users.
  • Provides end users with detailed documentation for enhancements. Ensures users understand fully all enhancements.
  • Communicates with programming staff and end users to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Analyzes/tests, manages projects and enhancements which cross applications.
  • Ensures design is in line with stated or projected user/business vision.


  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or the equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 4 years experience including process flows and supporting the design of new computer systems generally required.
  • Knowledge of object modeling, the ability to conceptualize and convert business processes into computer applications and in-depth knowledge of computer systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project Server, Microsoft Project Professional and Microsoft Access required.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills also required.
