  • Overview


    The Dir IT Data Center Services is responsible for ensuring overall technical application management and service delivery to Solutions Delivery Management (SDM). Leads, manages and governs third-party resources to achieve established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and meeting business needs. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for any business continuity planning and database technologies.



    • Acts as the primary liaison for third-party technical application management teams, as well as for SDM teams to support application operational health and structure.
    • Manages and reviews Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and SLAs report of underpinning contracts supporting application operations services.
    • Provides subject matter expertise for business impacts of applications; develops and maintains strong business working relationships for existing applications and aware of their processing schedules.
    • Contributes to disaster recovery plans for application restoration; acts as SME for disaster recovery.
    • Establishes and responsible for agreed Disaster Recover Plans/Business Continuity Plans (DRP/BCP) capabilities; reviews and tests plans for effectiveness and reliability.
    • Owns application performance; tracks performance-related issues with SDM; seeks to identify root cause causes and ways to improve application performance through creating and maintaining an enhanced environment.
    • Acts as an SME for database technology, including establishing technology roadmaps; interfaces with technology vendors to understanding industry trends and best practices.
    • Researches, recommends and selects database technologies and adaptation according to demand and in-line with Architecture, Information Security and SDM application roadmaps.
    • Accountable for maintaining effective and beneficial relationships with third-party suppliers including, but not limited to optimizing the usages of licenses, as well as contract ownership and execution.
    • Establishes and ensures continuous improvements for effective service delivery.
    • Identifies new technologies and process changes effecting the technical application environment; facilitates changes through IM Production, SDM and the business.
    • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.



    Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or a related field with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience delivering and managing IT services through third-party teams in addition to database and technical application management; or equivalent combination of post high-school education and experience.

    IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations certification, project management experience and willingness and ability to travel is required.

    Previous experience working in a global organization and supervisory experience is highly desirable.

    • Ability to demonstrate expertise in IT operational service delivery management.
    • Knowledge of and the ability to apply sound leadership practices, including developing employees by inspiring, encouraging and providing constructive criticism to improve performance.
    • Knowledge of and ability to apply best practices in managing outsourcing contracts, KPIs and SLAs.
    • Knowledge of and ability to apply best practices in managing databases and technical applications.
    • Knowledge of and ability to effectively manage third-level support in a complex and diverse application and service landscape.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
