  • Overview



    The Director of NAM IT Sourcing and Procurement is responsible for working with leadership on Sourcing and Procurement technology initiatives for Adecco business units. Leads sourcing projects and team in support of IT projects and negotiations across all IT categories, supporting delivery of strategic and tactical business solutions.  The role reports to the Global Head of IT Procurement, but also strongly supports and is jointly accountable to the CIO for NAM.




    • Build strong executive level partnerships with internal stakeholders to support and/or identify opportunities for negotiated cost savings business impact.   
    • Coordinates activities across the local and global IT organizations in order to effectively interact with IT professionals and senior leadership to execute agreed upon priorities.
    • Work with legal, security, and IT teams to negotiate favorable contracts, mitigating risk, while ensuring terms meet all laws, regulations, and Adecco standards.
    • Applies advanced sourcing methodologies to develop negotiating strategies that enable effective negotiations, vendor management and process improvement.
    • Conducts in-depth analysis on pricing, vendor stability, and proposals to ensure a fair, ethical, and level playing field.
    • Maintains knowledge of current IT trends, vendor capabilities and changes within the technology landscape for traditional and emerging solutions.
    • Develops and manages the life cycle of sourcing and RFx’s, supporting the full portfolio of technology related spend including SaaS, Services, Hardware, Software, Outsourcing, and Data Networking / Communications.  
    • Prepares detailed, comprehensive savings analyses, implementation plans and final Contract Summary recommendation for Business Leader review & approval in conjunction with CFO approval.
    • Conducts in-depth internal spend analyses and competitive market trend analyses to spot opportunities.
    • Assists in the Supplier Relationship Management function for measuring and managing supplier performance criteria for the acquisition of materials and services.
    • Supports all management and reporting requirements related to any information, data or reports required or requested by the Global Procurement Group.
    • Establishes career development plans, training for direct reports and mentors and coaches in-line with human resources principles.
    • Conducts timely annual and interim performance evaluations and sets individual and team objectives to cultivate a culture of high performance and teamwork.




    Bachelor's Degree in a business or technology field with a minimum of five (5) years of IT procurement experience with at least three (3) years of progressive leadership experience required.  Prior experience with global organization highly preferred.




    • Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing to various levels within the organization.
    • Ability to proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships.
    • Strong experience negotiating highly complex technology agreements for SaaS, hardware, software, services, networking, communications, and enterprise solutions.
    • Knowledge of procurement trends and best practices, as well as the ability to make decisions based on independent research and judgment.
    • Ability to effectively navigate a complex global company structure with many stakeholders to make recommendations and see projects and initiatives through to successful implementation.
    • Ability to effectively manage projects that vary in nature and scope.
    • Ability to evaluate information, identify key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgment, experience and common sense.
    • Knowledge of and the ability to apply sound leadership practices, including developing employees by inspiring, encouraging and providing constructive criticism to improve performance.
    • Ability to effectively influence others at various levels within the organization.
    • Ability to identify and resolve problems through recommending and implementing creative solutions.
    • Ability to focus on client needs with a commitment to quality and customer service.
    • Knowledge of and the ability to apply best practices and standards in procurement.
    • Knowledge of and the ability to negotiate and administer contracts, as well as the ability to execute contracts in compliance with organizational and North American guidelines, laws, rules and regulations.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
