    The Director of Client Services position requires colleague to grow the line of business through identifying new clients, building and sustaining relationships. The Director partners with Life Sciences clients as a comprehensive staffing partner, providing full customer service from identification through fulfillment. Colleague works closely with Hiring Managers and other team members to provide professional staffing services to new and existing clients. Colleague performs, lead and assists in all functions supporting the administrative, quality, operational and growth initiatives and standards of the company.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Enter assignments (client and candidate side).
    • Mentor and train new corporate client services hires as directed.
    • Identify, develop and expand new business opportunities with prospective clients and established accounts within assigned geographic region.
    • Oversee the management of account relationships to ensure optimal client satisfaction, utilizing strong communication practices.
    • Develop broad and specific understanding of each client's clinical development goals and specific programs and needs.
    • Develop and implement detailed sales strategies to maximize account development.
    • Manage territory by identifying ongoing top ten prospects and targets.
    • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, while maintaining high visibility within accounts.
    • Actively seek to advance industry and clinical knowledge to better understand industry and clients' programs. 
    • Actively seek to advance knowledge of all consulting and contract services offered by the company.
    • Identify, communicate with and build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with varying levels of client management.
    • Understand competitor strengths and weaknesses to effectively articulate the company’s competitive advantage.
    • Communicate client needs, expectations and culture to management and resourcing within the company.
    • Seek input from client contacts to proactively address changes in scope, new opportunities or customer dissatisfaction with consultants; plan for service delivery improvement where needed.
    • Coordinate with Hiring Managers to ensure client needs are being met and address concerns and issues in a timely manner.
    • Develop and track a robust business development pipeline and proactively advance potential opportunities through the sales cycle.
    • Communicate regularly with Lead Career Manager and appropriate team members.

     

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5+ years providing service in Life Sciences, including pharma, biotech, and medical devices required
    • 5+ years in contract or service based sales required
    • Clinical Development industry experience preferred
    • BS/BA degree required. Degree, graduate studies or advanced degree in a scientific, technical or business discipline/MBA preferred

    • Prior industry relationships and the ability to bring existing relationships into a new organization and leverage them to quickly advance client consideration 
    • Ability to operate under company ethical standards at all times

    • Proven and expanding understanding of the life science marketplace
    • Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation and organizational skills
    • Ability to focus on achieving daily, weekly, and long-term goals
    • Demonstrated success in accountability for sales activities and meeting goals
    • Self-motivated and team oriented
    • Ability to maintain a positive, results-oriented work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to the team in an open, and objective manner
