The HR Project Manager is responsible for supporting a wide spectrum of company-wide HR projects and programs that advance the strategic objectives of the business. Collaborates with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), Talent Management, HR Operations and other areas of corporate HR and ensures effective project/program planning and execution. Serves as an expert resource to HRBPs for all applicable programs.

Responsibilities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates an understanding of the business needs, and provides HR expertise for various company strategic initiatives supporting the company’s overall mission, vision, values and business needs. 
  • Partners with HRBPs to understand patterns and trends affecting projects and talent across business units.
  • Pro-actively contributes to the development of the Company’s business plan and objectives as it pertains to growth and development of talent.
  • Applies HR expertise to Implement new programs to support the needs of the company utilizing innovative strategies and principles of organizational development.
  • Drives and increases organizational effectiveness. 
  • Develop project plans and execute projects to drive business results. 
  • Develops strong relationships across the HR business team, working collaboratively to form effective, team-based approaches to achieving deliverables while maintaining effective communication, including status updates and reports.
  • Maintains a comprehensive view of the status of all projects within HR and prioritizes based on business need.
  • Presents key findings and results from projects and discussions with employees and managers as appropriate to HR teams, business partners and other stakeholders.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or a related field with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of post high school education and experience. Ability and willingness to travel is required.
HR and Project Management certifications are highly desirable. Previous related experience within a large (1,000+ employee), complex, multi-location company is strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of training methodology and the ability to develop and provide technical/operational training to others.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to apply principles, best practices and standards of HR, including related laws, regulations and policies, as well as rolling-out HR initiatives.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to apply principles, best practices and standards of change management across an organization.
  • Proficient with utilizing HR-related data driven software and tools to report and analyze data, including Microsoft SharePoint; Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), such as PeopleSoft; Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), such as iCIMS.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
