The Division Director - Direct Hire starts and develops a successful and reputable boutique finance and accounting search firm that will provide profits and relationships, which will benefit all MPS Group business units within the greater metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  (those functions actually required to perform the position, the removal of which would fundamentally change the job)

  • Develop business relationships at the CFL, COO, and CEO level that can produce profitable “container” and contingent fee searches.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with businesses and organizations that can refer business such as CPA firms, venture capital firms etc.
  • Hire, train and manage a professional and administrative staff that will support the volume of business developed by the office.
  • Manage successfully the financial operations of the office.
  • Work synergistically with the other MPS Group business units in the area.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the recruiting process, including interviewing potential candidates to determine their skill level and professional goals, developing new business, and servicing new and existing accounts.
  • Work closely with clients to identify and place qualified candidates to fit their needs. This involves understanding the client’s business and hiring needs, providing recommendations on structuring the accounting and finance department, making hiring recommendations, establishing compensation plans and negotiating and closing offers.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Formal Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in business; MBA is desirable.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent management capabilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 

Experience:

  • Professional Service industry experience
  • Previous finance or accounting experience is desirable

Knowledge:

  • Evidence of building lasting and profitable business relationships
  • Ability to manage the financial success (revenue and expenses) of a business unit
  • Understanding of the finance and accounting function
